Art of a Mom

Art of a Mom

Episode Notes

When was the last time you caught yourself saying “I’m just a mom?” Let’s be honest. Motherhood is not always what we envisioned it would be. When I think about motherhood, I think of the joy. I think of the exhaustion. I think of the tendency to put ourselves dead last. And that leaves us feeling isolated. Welcome, to Art of a Mom podcast, I'm your host Mary the mom/artist behind the growupbrite instagram account. As a mother I started to use my illustrations of my moments in motherhood as an outlet to express the beauty, the pain, the isolation, the societal pressures, and the pure joy of my motherhood journey. And something wild happened. Other Moms got it! They saw themselves and could feel it all.  And suddenly, I didn’t feel like I was the only one. I knew we needed each other. I have created Art of Mom podcast to share the stories of motherhood that break us down, build us up, and how we find each other. Fully seen. Fully expressed. Fully acknowledged. No judgments. Only a place for you to belong. Oh, and by the way, there’s no such thing as being just a mom. We are the ultimate artists of the future and we are powerful. You are welcome here!
